Myself, my wife, and our 1 year old son had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The food was amazing, the common areas and the pool are incredible, and the staff was exceptional. Imbassai is a cute little town that is very safe and less crowded than Praia do Forte. They have just done a lot of work on new cobblestone streets with wonderful pedestrian and bike paths, including a very nice one that runs through the woods along the river. Highly recommended!
The only real negative is that the hotel is not right on the beach. That being said, it's only about a 10 minute walk and the pool area is so nice that it almost doesn't matter. We looked at other hotels while we were there and this one definitely seemed to be the best in the area.

Vilangelim is a very special resort, featuring an exquisitely landscaped tropical garden, beautiful bungalows and tasteful Brazilian art and crafts collection. The staff will go out of their way to make your stay an unforgettable experience. The food and drinks (don't miss the caipirinhas) are the best in town! The beach is one of the most beautiful of upper state Bahia, one can walk for hours on white sand. Fauna and flora are grant! This is the place to relax and have a great vacation! Thanks Vilangelim!!!
I loved every moment of my stay.

I loved lounging by the expansive outdoor swimming pool surrounded by nature. The double room we stayed in was not only beautifully decorated but also featured a private entrance that added to our experience. Breakfast was a daily highlight with delicious options that really geared us up for the day.
100% recommend ❤️🌟

this hotel uses the name Eco resort and in all means they deserve it.....they have a private forest with monkeys and kolibri birds flying around. The owners are a bit shy and hold back, it is because they like to give their guest peace in rest and mind, well and with success.they have created a little paradise with lovely food and superb cocktails, so spoil yourself s and head up to Imbassia eco vangelim resort--------heaven is waiting for you

A lovely hotel, very beautiful, with lots of natures and trees. The room was very nice. The bar prepares very good cocktails (the best we had in Brazil), and so is the breakfast -- the best we had in Brazil. Also, we had a wonderful dinner at the hotel's restaurant, which wasn't expensive at all.
The location is a bit far from the ocean -- about 15 minutes walk. The shower has this funny water-warmer installed, which didn't work very well, and the water was either too cold or too hot. Regardless of the hotel -- the town itself is really sleepy and there's nothing to do there. You should keep this in mind before booking a hotel in Imbassai.

Dining at the restaurant was a treat with delicious breakfasts and lovely drinks by the expansive pool, surrounded by nature's beauty. The lush greenery and the charming ambience.
While the rooms were rustic, a bit more comfort wouldn't hurt-like better towels or soaps. Even so, the captivating aesthetic blended seamlessly into the lush surroundings.

The outdoor swimming pool was a perfect escape.
I found the bed in our room uncomfortably hard. Some of the towels and linens were not up to standard, which detracted a bit from the overall experience. It was also frustrating that the dinner options were limited, leading to several disappointing meal choices throughout our stay.

The charming bungalow paths lined with native plants create a nature-filled experience, though the bathroom could benefit from updates. Still, the peaceful atmosphere and pleasant dining made it worthwhile.

We enjoyed our time exploring the quiet charm of Papa-Gente Beach. The lush greenery surrounding the area was enchanting, and the kids loved the pool after our beach adventures. Dining at the on-site restaurant was a treat, we often found ourselves staying for lunch and dinner due to the great atmosphere.
My kids wished for more activities tailored for younger children.
